Product details

Safety relay with integrated delay and logic

The Omron G9SX-ADA222-T150-RT DC24 is a general-purpose safety relay from the G9SX series, rated Safety Category 4, PLe, and SIL3 — the highest performance level for safety functions up to a risk-reduction factor of 1000 or more. It accepts two digital inputs and drives six solid-state safety outputs plus two solid-state auxiliary outputs, all on a 24 VDC supply.

Category 4 / PLe / SIL3 means the relay is designed for redundant, monitored safety circuits where a single fault cannot cause loss of the safety function — think two-hand controls, light curtains, or e-stop chains on high-risk machinery. The built-in delay timer (0 to 150 seconds) is adjustable and can be used for delayed restart or muting sequences — set it via the front-panel potentiometer, no separate timer module needed. The Logical AND I/O feature lets you cascade multiple G9SX units so that all inputs must be satisfied before outputs turn on, which simplifies wiring on multi-zone safety systems.

All terminations are screw terminals — strip length 7-8 mm, torque to 0.5-0.6 Nm. The 24 VDC supply must be SELV/PELV; the relay draws approximately 0.2 A from the supply (no-load). Approvals include CE, CSA, cULus, SUD, TUV, and UL — covers most North American and European machinery directives.

Frequently asked questions

What are the key safety ratings of this relay?

It is rated Safety Category 4 per EN ISO 13849-1, Performance Level e (PLe), and SIL3 per IEC 61508. These are the highest standard safety integrity levels for this class of device.

How many outputs does it have and what type?

Six solid-state safety outputs and two solid-state auxiliary outputs. All are solid-state (no mechanical contacts), so they are silent and have no contact wear, but they do require a load to be present for proper self-testing.

What approvals does it carry?

CE, CSA, cULus, SUD, TUV, and UL. This covers European Machinery Directive, Canadian and US safety standards, and German TUV certification.
