Thermocouple Input Slice for SmartSlice
The Omron GRT1-TS2T is a 2-point thermocouple input slice for the SmartSlice I/O system, accepting types R, S, K, J, T, B, E, U, N, W, and PL2. This covers most process thermocouple standards in a single module, reducing the need for multiple input slices on a remote station. The 250 ms input on time per channel sets the update rate — expect roughly half a second to see a full two-channel scan. Adequate for temperature monitoring where thermal inertia dampens signal transients; not for fast-fault thermal cutoffs requiring sub-100 ms response. The module mounts on DIN rail via the GRT1 bus coupler backplane, and the cage clamp terminal accepts fine thermocouple wire without special ferrules. Spring-loaded, no torque tools needed — consistent contact in vibration environments.
