What the supply and timing range actually buy you
The H3CR-A8-301 AC24-48/DC12-48: A single part covers 24-48 VAC and 12-48 VDC on the supply terminals, so the same SKU drops into a control transformer secondary or a 24 VDC control bus without a different model variant — useful when the panel is fed from mixed rails during a retrofit. The 0.1 sec to 600 hr setting range crosses six orders of magnitude on one hand dial: sub-second pulse stretching at the low end, multi-day dwell or sequential staging at the long end, no need to stock a separate long-delay unit for the same socket.
Output side — driving real panel loads
DPDT mechanical relay contacts rated 5A at 250 VAC will pull a standard contactor coil, a small solenoid valve, or a signaling lamp directly; for larger motor contactors or heater loads, stage the timer output through an interposing relay rather than asking the timer contacts to make the locked-rotor inrush. The 8-pin octal plug-in footprint means the timer swaps out of its socket in seconds for service — fault isolation on a timing channel becomes pull-and-replace instead of re-wiring, which is the whole point of the socketable form factor.
