What this timer actually does on a panel
The H3CR-F AC24-48/DC12-48 is an Omron H3CR-F series repeat-cycle / twin timer with a DPDT (2 Form C) mechanical relay output, hand-dial adjustable from 0.05 s up to 30 hr, timing initiated by the input voltage on a plug-in 11-pin octal socket. Twin-timer / repeat-cycle function means the unit alternates between two independently set on/off intervals inside the same 30 hr envelope — useful for sequential flush cycles, lubrication pulses, or duty-cycled load shedding where the cycle length itself is the parameter being set.
Contact rating and supply: what actually drives fit
Contact rating is 5 A at 250 VAC on the DPDT mechanical relay — sufficient for small solenoid valves, contactor coils, and indicator lamps directly, but anything larger (motor starters, heater banks) needs an interposing relay downstream because the timer output is the control signal, not the load. Supply accepts 24 to 48 VAC and 12 to 48 VDC on a single unit, so the same timer drops into a 24 VDC controls cabinet, a 48 VAC legacy annunciator loop, or a 24 VAC HVAC panel without stocking a separate SKU. Socketable 11-pin octal mounting means the timer body pulls out of its base for bench swap — no rewiring when a suspected failure is replaced, which matters when the unit sits behind a packed DIN-rail row.
