Off-delay timing block for control panels
The Omron H3CR-H8RL AC/DC24 M is an 8-pin octal plug-in off-delay timer in the H3CR-H series: power is applied to start the timing cycle and the SPDT (1 Form C) contact transfers immediately, then drops out after the dial-set interval once supply is removed, making it the natural pick for cool-down, post-purge, and load-discharge sequences in motor and heater control circuits. Delay range is 0.05 min to 12 min on a hand-dial adjustment — a wide enough span to cover short-cycle fan rundown timers and longer duct-fan or compressor bleed-off duties from a single SKU, so the panel builder does not stock separate ranges for each application.
Contact and supply ratings
Output is a mechanical relay, SPDT, rated 5 A at 250 VAC — enough headroom for small contactor coils, solenoid valves, and indicator loads without an interposing relay, but a panel-side fuse or breaker sized below the contact rating remains the right pattern for downstream short-circuit protection. Supply is 24 VAC/DC, so the same unit feeds from a 24 VDC PLC rail or a 24 VAC control transformer without a separate power supply — convenient for retrofit work where the existing control voltage is mixed.
Mounting and socket wiring
Socketable mounting on an 8-pin octal base means the timer plugs into the same round-pin sockets commonly used for control relays — swap-out during commissioning or a fault-finding cycle is a pull-and-replace, not a rewire, which shortens mean-time-to-repair on lines where the timer sits in the field.
