Off-delay timer, octal base, 0.05–12 s range
The Omron H3CR-H8RL AC200-240 S is a socket-mount off-delay timer relay in the H3CR-H series. It switches a single SPDT (1 Form C) load up to 5 A at 250 VAC, with the delay set by a front-panel hand dial from 0.05 s to 12 s. Supply is 200–240 VAC, terminated via an 8-pin octal plug-in base.
The off-delay function means the timer starts counting when power is removed — the output relay stays energized during the delay, then drops out. This is the standard timing mode for staging fan coast-down, conveyor brake sequencing, or transformer inrush suppression after a power loss. The 0.05 s to 12 s range covers short dwells for anti-short-cycle protection up to moderate post-run delays. The 5 A @ 250 VAC contact rating is sufficient for pilot-duty control circuits or small contactor coils; for higher thrush loads, interpose a larger contactor.
