Series, contacts, and what it switches
The H3YN-2 DC125 sits in Omron's H3YN series of electronic timers and counters — a multi-function, socket-mount block configured as DPDT (2 Form C), meaning two changeover contacts ride on the same time-base and can drive independent loads off a single supply rail. Contact rating is 5 A at 250 VAC per pole on the mechanical relay — the upper bound for any switched load, and the figure that decides whether the timer feeds a contactor coil, a solenoid, or a small motor starter directly without an interposing relay.
Time range, supply, and timing control
Delay spans 0.1 Sec to 10 Min across the multi-function modes — wide enough to cover short-cycle machine sequencing and longer lubrication or purge intervals from the same part, with the timing range set by a hand dial on the front face. Coil runs on 125 VDC — a DC rail rather than the more common 24 VDC or 100–240 VAC supplies, so the panel-side PSU and the timer's input polarity must match before wiring; timing initiates on input voltage applied to the unit.
