Time delay relay, H5CZ series — what fits and what doesn't
The Omron H5CZ-L8ED DC12-24 is a programmable multi-function time delay relay from the H5CZ series, socket-mountable via an 8-pin octal base. It accepts a 12–24 VDC supply and switches a single SPDT (Form C) contact rated 5 A at 250 VAC — enough for pilot duty, small motor starters, or signal delays in control panels. The delay range spans 0.001 seconds to 9999 hours, set via up/down digit keys on the front face. Timing is initiated by either applying the input voltage or a separate trigger signal, which gives flexibility for on-delay, off-delay, interval, and one-shot modes common in conveyor sequencing or pump alternation circuits.
