The Omron K3HB-RPB 100-240VAC is a panel-mount tachometer — a rate indicator that displays frequency or speed from a pulse train. It accepts no-voltage inputs (dry contacts or NPN open-collector signals) up to 50 kHz, which covers most encoder and proximity sensor outputs on a production line. The dual-color backlit LCD shows two rows of five characters each, letting you display rate and a secondary value (like total or batch count) simultaneously. Supply is 100~240 VAC direct — no separate 24 VDC power supply needed for the meter itself. The external reset input lets a PLC or pushbutton clear the display remotely, which matters when you're batching or cycling production runs.
Panel cutout is 92 mm x 45 mm — the standard 1/8 DIN footprint that fits existing punch-outs in most control panels. The IP66 front rating means the display and keypad survive washdown in food-and-beverage lines or outdoor enclosures where hose-down cleaning is routine. Screw-terminal connections on the rear; no special crimp tool needed for field wiring. If the panel sees direct sun or a hot machine face, keep the ambient inside the enclosure under 55°C.
Outputs and expansion
There are no built-in outputs — the K3HB-RPB relies on option cards for alarm, control, or communication outputs. If your application needs a relay trip at a set speed, or a transistor output to a PLC, order the matching option card separately. The base unit is just the display and input stage.
It's a mature, widely stocked line, so lead times are typically short.
