What it is and what it reads
The Omron K3HB-XAD 100-240VAC is a panel-mount process meter from the K3HB-X series, built to display a DC current loop signal. It measures a ±199.99mA input range and runs on a universal 100~240VAC supply — no separate power module needed for standard line voltages. The front panel carries an IP66 rating, meaning it's dust-tight and protected against hose-directed water — suitable for panel doors on washdown lines or outdoor enclosures where splash is a concern. The dual-color LCD backlight (red/green) and two rows of 5 digits each let the operator see both process value and a second parameter (e.g., setpoint or peak) at a glance. Character heights are 14.20 mm on the main row and 4.90 mm on the secondary, readable from a few metres away on a machine panel.
Panel fit and wiring
Panel cutout is 92.00 mm x 45.00 mm — a standard 1/8 DIN footprint. The screw-terminal rear connection accepts solid or stranded wire up to the terminal rating; no special crimp tool needed for field wiring. Operating temperature range is -10°C to 55°C, which covers most indoor panel environments but not freezer or direct-sunlight outdoor locations without a climate-controlled enclosure.
