What it is and what it measures
The Omron K3HB-XVD 100-240VAC is a panel-mount process meter from the K3HB-X series, designed to display a DC voltage process signal. It measures a range of ±199.99 VDC, making it suitable for reading 0-10 V, 1-5 V, or other common process-voltage transducer outputs directly, with a resolution of 0.01 V. The dual-color LCD backlight (green/red) and two rows of characters (5 digits each, with heights of 0.560" and 0.192") let you show the measured value and a second parameter — such as a setpoint, peak hold, or scaled engineering unit — simultaneously.
Panel fit and environmental rating
Mounts into a standard 92 mm × 45 mm rectangular panel cutout and secures with the included screw clamps. The IP66-rated front bezel is dust-tight and protected against hose-directed water, so the meter can be installed on a washdown panel face in food, beverage, or chemical processing lines without a separate enclosure. Screw-terminal connections on the rear accept solid or stranded wire. The operating temperature range of -10°C to 55°C covers most indoor control-panel environments.
Expansion and sourcing posture
The K3HB-XVD accepts optional plug-in cards for additional outputs (relay, transistor, analog retransmission) or communications (RS-232C, RS-485, or BCD output), letting you add alarms or data logging without replacing the base unit.
