What this detector does on the line
The K8AC-H23PC-FLK is a dedicated heater element detector from Omron's K8AC-H series, built to monitor current draw on electric heaters and flag a fault when a heater burns out or the load drops below the set threshold. It covers a 20 ~ 200A input range, so it handles everything from a small single-phase immersion heater to a three-phase bank pulling close to 200A per leg. The relay output gives a dry contact for the PLC or alarm panel — no separate signal conditioner needed.
Mounting, wiring, and panel fit
Snaps onto a DIN rail — standard enclosure integration, no panel cut-out or screw holes to lay out. Powered from 85 ~ 264VAC, so it runs on any plant voltage from 100V to 240V without a transformer tap change.
Communications and display
RS-485 with Omron's CompoWay/F protocol — the 4-digit red LED shows the live current reading, and the serial link lets the PLC poll the value and the fault status without extra wiring.
