Over/under current relay for 24V control circuits
The Omron K8AK-AW3 24VAC/DC current sensing relay monitors AC/DC load current with an adjustable trip range of 10 to 200 A and delay from 0.1 to 30 seconds. The SPDT relay output switches up to 5 A at 250 VAC, sufficient for alarms or contactor coils.
Trip and delay tuning
The 10-200 A AC/DC trip range and 0.1-30 s delay allow the relay to be set for the actual load. For motor applications, the delay can be increased to ride through starting inrush without nuisance tripping. For undercurrent detection, a short delay and trip point below normal running current quickly flags a pump loss or belt slip.
