Phase monitoring coverage and switching capacity
The K8AKPM2 covers four phase conditions on a three-phase supply: phase sequence, phase failure, overvoltage, and undervoltage. That means a single relay handles both loss-of-phase and voltage-window faults — no need to stack separate under/overvoltage relays for basic motor or pump protection. Switching is handled by a 2CO (DPDT) contact rated 5 A at 250 VAC. The 2CO gives you one set of changeover contacts for the trip signal and a second set for a remote alarm or status feedback to the PLC — a common panel wiring pattern.
Voltage window and supply range
The operating window is 380 to 480 VAC, three-phase. The relay monitors each phase against that range — any phase falling below 380 V or rising above 480 V triggers the output. Power draw is 4.4 VA, which is low enough that the relay can share a control transformer with other panel devices without a thermal derating calculation.
Housing is 22.5 mm wide — a single DIN-rail module width — so it fits in a crowded panel without eating up rail space. Termination is via screw terminals, and the enclosure is IP20 — finger-safe but not sealed against moisture, so it belongs in a clean indoor panel, not a washdown area.
