K8DT-AS1CD – adjustable current sensing relay for AC/DC circuits
The Omron K8DT-AS1CD is a DIN rail-mounted current sensing relay from the K8DT series, designed to monitor AC or DC current from 2 mA to 500 mA and switch a relay output when the set threshold is exceeded. The trip current set point is adjustable across the full 2–500 mA range, and the response delay is selectable from 0.1 to 30 seconds, allowing the relay to ignore transient inrush and trip only on sustained over- or under-current conditions. It accepts a 24 VAC/DC control supply and provides an SPDT (Form C) relay output rated at 5 A at 250 VAC, suitable for signaling alarms, starting backup equipment, or interfacing with a PLC digital input. The unit operates over -20°C to 60°C and is housed in a slim DIN-rail packet, making it a straightforward fit for standard control panel layouts.
