What this controller does on the line
The Omron K8DT-LS1CD is a Constant Level controller — it monitors conductive liquid level through two or three probe electrodes and switches a relay when the level crosses the set point. The built-in delay timer prevents relay chatter from wave action or splashing, so the output holds steady until the level settles. The sensitivity adjustment spans 10 ~ 100kOhm, which lets it work with different liquid conductivities — from clean water to process fluids with higher resistivity.
The spring terminal termination accepts solid or ferruled stranded wire without needing a screwdriver torque check; push the wire in and the cage grips it. Supply voltage is 24VAC/DC — common for control transformers or DC power supplies in industrial panels. The SPDT (1 Form C) relay output is rated 5A @ 250VAC — enough to drive a small contactor coil, alarm horn, or pilot light directly. The maximum distance from the controller to the sensor probes is 100m, which covers most tank-to-panel runs without a signal booster.
Production status is Active — this is a current catalog item from Omron.
