What it is and what it does
The Omron K8DT-VS2CA is a voltage sensing relay from the K8DT family, monitoring AC or DC voltage on one SPDT (1 Form C) output. Trip range is adjustable from 1 V to 150 V AC/DC, with a separate delay time you can set between 0.1 sec and 30 sec — useful for filtering out transient sags or surges. It runs on a 100–240 VAC supply and switches a relay rated at 5 A at 250 VAC. The housing clips onto a standard DIN rail, and the operating temperature range of –20°C to 60°C covers most cabinet environments.
Mounting and wiring notes
DIN rail mounted. Push-in terminals accept wiring. The SPDT output is rated for 5 A at 250 VAC resistive. For inductive loads (small contactors, relays) add a snubber across the load — the contact life will shorten without one. The supply input is 100–240 VAC, so no separate DC power supply is needed.
