The Omron MJN2CE-AC120 is an enclosed power relay from the MJN Series, switching DPDT contacts rated 10 A at 120/240/277V AC and 10 A at 28V DC. The 120V AC coil makes it a direct drop-in for line-voltage control circuits in panels, motor starters, and general-purpose switching applications.
Contact ratings and motor load capability
The DPDT contacts carry 10 A resistive at 120/240/277V AC and derate to 3 A at 480/600V AC — the higher-voltage rating governs line-side switching on 480V distribution. For DC loads, the contacts hold 10 A at 28V, typical for solenoid or brake control. Motor-rated: 1/3 hp at 120V AC and 1/2 hp at 240V AC, which covers fractional-horsepower pump, fan, and conveyor drives.
Surface-mounted via side flanges — no DIN rail adapter, so panel layout needs drilled holes or a bracket. Eight tab terminals accept 0.25″ quick-connects; strip and crimp, no screw torque to manage. Enclosed construction keeps dust and incidental contact off the mechanism, suitable for control cabinets without sealed conduit.
