NJ1019000 – NJ Series CPU Unit, current production
The Omron NJ1019000 is a current-production CPU unit from the NJ series, designed for motion and machine control with integrated EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and USB interfaces. It carries 3 MB of program capacity and 2 MB of data memory, expandable to 2560 I/O points, and includes a real-time clock and battery backup for volatile data. Rated for a 5 V operating supply, this CPU runs the LD and ST programming languages and communicates on EtherCAT for motion, EtherNet/IP for plant-level networking, and USB for local programming access. Its DIN-rail mounting and expandable design fit standard control panels.
Sourcing reality – current stage, no LTB window
Because it is an active part, the buyer does not need to rush a last-buy or work the surplus channel. An RFQ will confirm availability for the quantity needed. If the application requires an identical replacement years from now, the NJ series is expected to remain available through its natural lifecycle, though no PCN is in effect today.
How the NJ1019000 compares to the CQM1CPU43EV1
The CQM1CPU43EV1 supports 256 I/O points and 6,144 words of data memory. The NJ1019000 supports up to 2560 I/O, 2 MB data memory, and 3 MB program memory, with EtherCAT communication at 100 Mbps.
Integration notes – DIN rail, comms, and I/O expansion
EtherCAT and EtherNet/IP share the internal switch; verify the node address and network configuration via Sysmac Studio before connecting to an active network. I/O expansion uses the NJ-series dedicated bus (not CJ/CS backplanes), so each additional I/O unit must be an NX or NJ-compatible slice. The 2 MB data memory holds a significant tag database; for very large structures, plan for the 3 MB program limit as the tighter ceiling. Battery backup protects the real-time clock and retained variables during power loss. Standard lithium cell – replace every 5 years under normal ambient conditions, or earlier if the battery error flag appears.
