Module in the NX rack – what it does
NX-ECC202 is the communications slice in an Omron NX I/O system – handles fieldbus traffic to the CPU or over EtherNet/IP. Sits on the DIN rail, fed from the backplane supply at 5–24 VDC. Termination is RJ45 on one side, spring-clamp on the other, so you drop the network cable and the local wiring onto separate connectors. Rated 0–55°C ambient, which covers most cabinet conditions.
Still in production – what that means for sourcing
Current lifecycle status is Active. No phase-out or last-time-buy looming. That means OEMs can keep the BOM as-is; MRO planners don't need to stockpile. Quote will be written against an RFQ, lead time based on factory backlog – typical for this type of module. Approvals include CE, cULus, C-Tick, KC, Lloyd, NK.
Panel fit and wiring
Mounts on DIN rail. RJ45 and spring terminals provide network and wiring connections.
