What it does in the panel
The Omron NX-TS2201 is a Temperature Input Unit in the NX series that takes resistance-thermometer (RTD) signals into the NX bus from two analog inputs. Mounted on DIN rail and terminated via spring terminals, it sits next to the CPU or NX communication coupler and exposes the temperature readings as NX I/O data the controller can read directly. Because both channels are analog RTD-only, the slice is sized for tight panel runs where thermocouple, voltage or current channels are not in scope.
Ratings and the working envelope
Operating range is 0°C~55°C, so the slice is intended for cabinet interiors and not outdoor or unconditioned enclosures. Termination is spring cage on the field side, which keeps the wireman off the screwdriver once the ferrule is crimped, and the DIN-rail mount matches the rest of the NX series so it lands on the same bus slice pattern as its siblings. The approval set covers CE, cULus, C-Tick, KC, Lloyd and NK, which is the same envelope carried by the rest of the NX I/O family.
