The Omron NX102-1120 is a Sysmac NX1 modular CPU that serves as the control core for multi-axis motion and sequence applications. It runs EtherCAT as the motion network and EtherNet/IP for plant-floor integration, with a 1 ms primary task cycle that keeps position loops tight. The 5 MB program and 33.5 MB variable memory cover mid-size machine programs, and it handles up to 15 axes (4 synchronous) with built-in motion control and OPC-UA for data exchange.
Mounting and expansion
It expands via the NX I/O bus to 32 local modules and up to 64 remote I/O nodes, so a single CPU can cover a distributed machine. Battery backup and real-time clock are onboard, which means the program and time stamp survive power loss without an external UPS.
