Unit overview
The Omron NX1P2-1140-DT is a current-production machine controller in the NX1P series — a standalone unit with 24 inputs and 16 outputs onboard. Power comes from a 24 VDC supply (20.4 to 28.8 VDC range); the power supply terminal is rated 4 A max., so don't plan to daisy-chain more than a couple of small loads off that pair. It accepts up to 8 expansion units on the NX bus.
How it compares to earlier Omron controllers
Don't treat the NX1P2-1140-DT as a direct swap for a C200H-CPU21-E. The C200H is a backplane-based CPU with no onboard I/O; the NX1P puts the I/O (24 in / 16 out) on the main unit and uses the NX bus for expansion. The power architecture and programming environment are completely different — rewiring and a fresh program are required. No drop-in. Compared to the CQM1CPU43EV1, the NX1P series lacks the dedicated pulse output circuits of that CPU43 variant. If you need two-axis pulse train output at up to 50 kHz, stay with a CQM1 or look at an NX1P with a position-interface unit.
Lifecycle status is current — this is an active, in-production part. Lead time runs 7–10 working days typical. No LTB or successor to watch. We source it quoted to order; submit an RFQ for the BOM line.
