Integrator's note on the S8FSG30015CD
The Omron S8FSG30015CD is a 300 W single-output power supply from the S8FS-G series, delivering a nominal 15 VDC at 20 A. The output is adjustable. Input range covers 100 to 240 VAC single-phase. The screw terminal block is the standard panel-mount interface. Efficiency is rated at 81 %. The 3 kV insulation voltage between input and output gives basic isolation for control circuits. Ripple and noise are 270 mV.
Sizing and mounting
The enclosure is 102 mm tall by 42.5 mm wide and 220.1 mm deep. That 42.5 mm width is a single DIN-rail slot — it clips onto a standard 35 mm rail without crowding adjacent breakers or terminals. The depth is the main dimension to check in a shallow cabinet: 220 mm means you need at least 240 mm clearance from the rail to the door or back wall for wiring access. At the high end, output current derating applies — the 20 A rating is at 50 °C or below; above that, the supply pulls back to stay within thermal limits. If the panel sits near a hot machine or in direct sun, plan for airflow or derate the load.
