Overview
The SRT2-OD16T-1 is an Omron SRT2-series output module, order code SRT2-OD16T-1, providing 16 solid-state outputs on a 24 V DC supply. It mounts on DIN rail with screw terminals and carries CE, CSA, and UL approvals.
Function & operation
This module switches 16 solid-state outputs, each rated for 24 V DC, controlled by the PLC backplane. The solid-state design means no moving contacts — faster switching and longer life in high-cycle applications than relay output modules. The operating temperature range of -10°C to 55°C allows installation in unheated cabinets or near heat-generating equipment, though the lower end is unusual for Omron's SRT2 line and may suit cold-environment installations.
Applications
As a PLC output module in the SRT2 series, the SRT2-OD16T-1 is used in machine automation, packaging lines, conveyor systems, and material handling where distributed I/O is needed. The 16 solid-state outputs drive solenoids, indicator lights, small contactors, and PLC input modules directly, without the wear of relay contacts.
