SS-5GL111-2 contact geometry and switching role
The Omron SS-5GL111-2 is a subminiature limit switch in the Limit Switches class, configured as a Single Pole, Single Throw normally-closed contact (SPST-NC) for snap-action position sensing on moving machinery. Used as an end-of-travel or presence-detect element, an SPST-NC limit switch of this form factor closes a control circuit in the resting state and breaks it when the actuator is deflected — the NC wiring is the fail-safe side in a guard-door or valve-position interlock.
