CPU with a 12 VDC twist
The Panasonic AFP0RC14CRT14 is a FP0R series CPU that runs on a 12 VDC supply — that 12 VDC rail is the first thing to check if you're swapping in a standard 24 VDC FP0R unit. It packs 8 digital inputs and 6 relay outputs, enough for a small pick-and-place cell or a conveyor zone controller. Memory holds 12K words, and the RS-232C port handles programming and simple HMI or drive handshakes.
Expandable, but watch the bus
The CPU accepts up to 3 expansion modules on the right-side bus, so you can add analog, thermocouple, or extra I/O slices without swapping the base unit. DIN-rail mount keeps panel layout clean. The relay outputs are rated for general-purpose AC/DC loads — fine for solenoid valves, contactor coils, or indicator lamps, but not for high-frequency PWM or servo step/direction signals.
