Module overview
The AFP0RE16YP is a 16-point solid-state output module in the Panasonic FP0R series, designed to switch DC loads from the PLC backplane. All 16 outputs are solid-state, meaning no mechanical contacts to wear — suited for high-cycle applications like pick-and-place cells or conveyor divert gates where relay life would be a maintenance item.
The rectangular connector mates to the backplane bus — no individual field wiring to the module body, so swapping a failed unit takes seconds without breaking into the cabinet wiring. Rated for 0°C to 55°C ambient, which covers most control-panel environments without forced cooling.
Compatibility note
Designed for use with the FP0R series controllers. The 16-output module shares the same DIN-rail footprint and backplane connector as the 8-output siblings (AFP0RE8YT, AFP0RE8YP), so a panel originally wired for an 8-point output module can accept the 16-point version without mechanical rework — just update the I/O map in the PLC program.
