vs AFP7X16DW input-only module
The AFP7X16DW gives you 16 digital inputs and nothing else — no outputs. If the BOM calls for both I/O directions on one card, the AFP7MXY32DWD saves a slot. Wiring difference: the AFP7X16DW uses pluggable screw terminals; this module uses a rectangular connector. Same backplane, different dressing. For a pure input bank the AFP7X16DW is cheaper, but if you need outputs on the same slice this is the one.
Production status is active. No end-of-life notice or PCN on record for this FP7 I/O module. The module fits any FP7 rack and is a current-production item, so it's straightforward to quote for BOM lines.
