FP7 rack I/O — what fits where
The Panasonic AFP7PHLSM is an FP7-series I/O module, DIN-rail mounted with screw terminals — your go-to for mixed input/output in a compact rack. Rated for 0°C to 55°C ambient, it slots into any FP7 backplane position alongside CPUs, communication modules, and other I/O slices.
Peer modules — same rack, different wiring
The AFP7PHLSM uses screw terminals for field wiring; the AFP7MXY32DWD (16 digital I/O) uses a rectangular connector — so swapping them means re-terminating the cable. The AFP7EXPM is a control module, not an I/O block, so it won't fill the same function even though it shares the same DIN-rail footprint.
