The Panasonic FP2-DEV-M is a Communications Module from the FP2 Series, handling DeviceNet network integration on the backplane. Rated for 0°C to 55°C operation, it uses a D-Sub termination for the fieldbus connection.
FP2-DEV-M vs FP2-CAN-M
The FP2-DEV-M speaks DeviceNet; the FP2-CAN-M speaks CANopen. Both fit the same backplane slot, use the same D-Sub pinout for power and bus, and share the 0°C~55°C temperature range. The decision comes down to which fieldbus the PLC master expects.
