Field tech overview
FPG-CAN-S is a live-production CAN bus module for the Panasonic FP Sigma controller platform. It rides the backplane, terminates on a D-Sub, and runs from 0°C to 55°C — nothing exotic, but solid for a cabinet that isn't baking. No shop, no crane: this module swaps in seconds if the backplane slot is free and the CAN network expects a slave. The mounting footprint is shared across the FP Sigma comm family, so you can keep a spare without worrying about hole patterns.
