The SF4D-F47-01 is a Panasonic SF4D Series Type 4 finger-protection light curtain with 47 beams at a 10 mm pitch, delivering a 14 mm resolution over a 470 mm protected height. It operates from 0.8 m to 12.0 m on a 24 VDC supply and is rated IP67. It remains in active production, supporting blanking and muting functions for flexible machine guarding integration.
Selection vs. hand-protection variant
Compared to the SF4D-H80-01 hand-protection model (25 mm resolution, 80 beams at 20 mm pitch, 0.2 m to 15.0 m range), the SF4D-F47-01's finer 14 mm resolution and 10 mm pitch detect smaller objects — fingers rather than hands — but its 0.8 m minimum range is longer, so it suits closer guarding where object size matters more than reach.
