Overview
The 140-DDO-153-10 is a Modicon Quantum discrete output module that drives 32 TTL-level outputs at 5 V DC, each sourcing up to 75 mA, arranged across 4 channels with positive (sink) logic. It occupies 2 output words in the I/O map and requires a standard PCE slot. Outputs are protected by transient voltage suppression and an internal fuse; a blown fuse or loss of field power triggers a red LED and a fault indication. The module carries CE, UL 508, CSA C22.2 No 142, and FM Class 1 Division 2 approvals.
The 140-DDO-153-10 differs from the 140DDO35301 in output logic and current: the 140-DDO-153-10 uses positive (sink) TTL at 75 mA per point, while the 140DDO35301 uses positive (source) logic and delivers 16 A per module (4 A per group). The 140DDO35301 also accepts a higher absolute maximum output pulse (50 V, 1 s decaying) versus the 140-DDO-153-10's 15 V, 0.0013 s pulse. Both modules offer 32 outputs, but the 140DDO35301 is suited for higher-current loads; the 140-DDO-153-10 is designed for low-level TTL signaling.
