The 140DDO88500C is a Modicon Quantum 12-point DC discrete output module using negative logic (sink) – switch the return side of 24-to-125 VDC loads. The module carries conformal coating (Humiseal 1A33) for humidity up to 95% without condensation. Isolation stands at 2500 Vrms channel-to-bus and 1200 Vrms between output groups. It holds CE marking and is certified to CSA C22.2 No 142 and UL 508.
Wiring and integration notes
Because the output logic is negative (sink), loads connect between the positive supply and the output point; the module switches the DC return. Response time is 1 ms for both turn-on and turn-off. The bus current draw is 375 mA with six outputs on, 650 mA when all twelve are on. Addressing requires one input word and one output word. Internal protection includes a 4 A fuse per point and a varistor per group for output overvoltage. Inductive loads have no limit because of integrated diode clamping.
