The Schneider Electric A9D01832 is an Acti9 iC60 RCBO — a combined residual current breaker with overcurrent protection in a single 18 mm (2-module) width. It integrates a 32 A thermal-magnetic trip (C-curve, 5...10 x In magnetic tripping limit) with a 10 mA earth-leakage sensor, all in a 1P + Ns (switched neutral) form factor. This is the part to specify when you need both overcurrent and 10 mA residual-current protection in one DIN-rail slot — common for circuits supplying wet areas, medical equipment, or outdoor socket outlets where 30 mA is too high for the touch-voltage risk.
The 32 A rating at 50 °C (In) is the continuous current the RCBO can carry without tripping in a 50 °C ambient — typical for a fully loaded final circuit feeding socket outlets or fixed equipment up to that load. The 10 mA earth-leakage sensitivity is the key differentiator: it protects against direct-contact faults where even 30 mA could be hazardous (e.g., hand-held tools in wet environments, medical locations per IEC 60364-7-710).
Certified to BS EN 61009-1 and IEC 61009-1 (general requirements for RCBOs) plus IEC 61009-2-2 (functional and breaking-capacity tests). The IP20 (device) / IP40 (modular enclosure) ratings per IEC 60529 cover dry indoor panel installation.
Integration notes
Mounts via plug-on connection to Isobar A or Isobar B distribution boards (the dedicated Acti9 busbar system). Neutral is on the left (fixed position). Tightening torque: 3.5 N·m top, 2 N·m bottom. Wire strip length: 14 mm top, 13 mm bottom. The toggle provides ON/OFF and fault indication locally.
