It protects a single-phase outgoing circuit against both overload/short-circuit (thermal-magnetic trip, C-curve) and earth leakage (30 mA sensitivity, integrated). Rated 16 A at 50 °C with a breaking capacity of 10 kA Icn at 240 V AC, it is sized for residential and light commercial distribution boards where the prospective fault current stays under 10 kA. The C-curve characteristic (trips at 5–10× In) suits inductive loads like small motors, fluorescent lighting banks, and pump circuits — the standard choice for general-purpose socket outlets and fixed equipment in IEC markets.
