The Schneider Electric A9R71225S is a 2-pole residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) from the Acti9 iID series, rated 25 A with 30 mA earth-leakage sensitivity.
The 30 mA sensitivity is the standard threshold for personal protection against indirect contact in residential and commercial installations — it trips within the safe body-current limit. The 25 A rated current matches a typical 25 A outgoing circuit; the 2-pole (2P) configuration switches both phase and neutral, with neutral on the left. For circuits with rectifiers, variable-speed drives, or LED drivers, a Type A or Type F RCCB would be required. The breaking capacity Idm is 1500 A, adequate for most final circuits where the prospective fault current is limited by upstream overcurrent devices. The tripping mechanism is voltage-independent, operating on residual current alone. The instantaneous time delay provides no intentional delay.
Terminals accept 1...35 mm² rigid or 1...25 mm² flexible conductors; wire stripping length is 14 mm, and tightening torque is 3.5 N.m. The IP20 degree of protection suits installation inside a distribution board (IP40 in modular enclosure).
