Overview

The ATV212HD11M3X is a Schneider Altivar 212 adjustable-frequency AC drive rated for 11 kW / 15 hp on a 240 V 3-phase supply. Input current is 42.1 A; output current is 46.2 A. The drive carries an IP21 enclosure and ships without an EMC filter.

This drive uses an adjustable PI regulator loop for closed-loop process control — typical for pump and fan applications where pressure or flow must track a setpoint. The analog inputs accept switch-configurable voltage (0–10 V DC) or current (0–20 mA) signals, plus a PTC probe input for motor thermal protection. Communication is handled via a 2-wire RS-485 interface with an RJ45 connector, supporting Modbus, LonWorks, METASYS N2, BACnet, and APOGEE FLN protocols. An optional LonWorks communication card can be added. The drive is rated for a shock of 15 gn for 11 ms per IEC 60068-2-27, which is relevant for transport and installation handling.

Applications

Altivar 212 drives are specified for HVAC pumping, fan, and compressor duty in commercial buildings and light industrial plants. The built-in BACnet and METASYS N2 protocol support makes this drive a natural fit for building management system integration.
