The C080L3WM is a basic frame — the structural and contact assembly — for the ComPacT NS800L new-generation circuit breaker. It is rated 800 A at 50 °C and carries a 150 kA Icu at 415 V AC, which means it can safely interrupt fault currents up to that level on a 415 V distribution bus without the arc flashing over. The frame is 3-pole, withdrawable, and manually operated; it ships without a control unit or protection trip module, so you select the appropriate Micrologic trip unit separately to match your coordination study.
The L breaking-capacity code delivers 150 kA Icu at 380/415 V AC and 130 kA at 440 V AC. The Ics — the service breaking capacity — matches the Icu at every voltage point, so the breaker can be reclosed after a fault at its full rating without derating. For selectivity studies, the Icw is 19.2 kA for 1 s, giving downstream devices time to clear a fault before the main trips. The frame is rated Category A, meaning it is not intended for deliberate short-time delay coordination — pair it with a Micrologic trip unit that provides the delay.
The frame mounts on a backplate in a withdrawable configuration — the breaker chassis stays fixed while the moving portion can be racked out for maintenance or replacement without disturbing the bus connections. Connection pitch is 70 mm. Dimensions: 260 mm high, 236 mm wide, 147 mm deep. The front face is Class II shock-protected, and the enclosure is rated IP40 with an IK07 impact rating.
Environmental and durability
Power losses at rated current are 40 W. Mechanical durability is 10,000 cycles; electrical durability varies by voltage and current — for example, 2,000 cycles at 690 V at full In, and 4,000 cycles at 440 V at In/2.
