What the 800 A AC-23A rating means for the fit
The C080S3FM is a ComPacT NS new generation switch disconnector basic frame — a manually operated, 3-pole, fixed-mount disconnect rated for distribution duty. The headline 800 A AC-23A rating across the full 220 V to 690 V AC range means it handles motor loads with occasional inrush without derating. The short-circuit making capacity of 52 kA at 690 V AC and the short-time withstand of 25 kA for 0.5 s tell you the frame can close onto a fault and ride through a downstream fault until the upstream protection clears it. That is a selectivity play — you can coordinate this disconnect with a slower upstream breaker and still have the fault energy contained within the frame. It is also suitability for isolation certified per IEC 60947-3, meaning it provides a visible or indicated isolation gap (the contact position indicator confirms open/closed state) for safe maintenance lockout. No visible break window on this basic frame, but the indicator and the isolation rating satisfy the standard for a disconnecting means.
Integration into a panel — fixed mount, front connections
Fixed-mount, front-connect on both upside and downside. The connection pitch is 70 mm, which matches the standard ComPacT NS busbar system and the common panel cutout pattern. Dimensions: 327 mm wide, 210 mm high, 147 mm deep. That depth matters when you are planning the enclosure depth — 147 mm leaves room behind the door for the operator handle mechanism without crowding the backplane. IP40 front face protection keeps dust and small tools out; IK07 impact rating means it can take a knock from a dropped screwdriver or a panel door swing without cracking the enclosure.
