It protects distribution circuits against overload (thermal element) and short-circuit (magnetic element) per EN/IEC 60947-2, and is suitable for isolation per that same standard. The 3-pole, 3-protected-pole configuration (3D) handles three-phase AC networks at 50/60 Hz.
The breaking capacity varies by line voltage: 40 kA Icu at 220/240 V AC, 25 kA Icu at 380/415 V AC, 20 kA Icu at 440 V AC, and 15 kA Icu at 500 V AC. This is Category A (no intentional short-time delay), so it clears faults instantaneously on magnetic pickup. For a 63 A feeder in a 415 V panel with a prospective fault current up to 25 kA, this breaker is sized correctly without cascading upstream.
Mounts on a backplate in horizontal or vertical orientation, flat on the back. Front connections on both upside and downside. The 105 mm width, 161 mm height, 86 mm depth fit standard distribution board cutouts. 35 mm connection pitch for busbar or cable lugs.
Durability and environmental limits
Mechanical durability is 50,000 cycles; electrical durability ranges from 50,000 cycles at 440 V In/2 down to 10,000 cycles at 690 V In. Relative humidity 0–95 %. Power dissipation per pole is 8.61 W — plan for 25.8 W total heat rejection in the enclosure at full rated current.
