What this 50 A MCCB does in the panel
It's built for distribution panels — fixed-mount, backplate, toggle control, front connections top and bottom. The 40 kA Icu at 240 V AC (85 kA at 250 V DC) per IEC 60947-2 means it can interrupt a fault up to that level without welding contacts or cascading upstream.
Fixed-mount to a backplate — no DIN-rail adapter here. The 35 mm width and 161 mm height fit a standard MCCB slot in a distribution board. Horizontal or vertical mounting is fine; flat on the back. IP40 enclosure protection means it's splash-proof but not washdown-rated. IK07 impact resistance handles accidental tool strikes during panel work.
Protection and durability
The TM-D trip unit gives you L (thermal overload) and I (magnetic short-circuit) protection — no ground-fault module onboard. Rated 50 A at 40 °C ambient; no derating needed up to 2000 m altitude. 20,000 mechanical cycles and 10,000 electrical cycles at rated current (20,000 at half-rated) — solid for a distribution breaker that sees infrequent switching.
