Motor-protection MCCB with magnetic-only trip
It is designed specifically for motor protection, providing short-circuit (magnetic) protection only — no thermal overload element, so the motor's own overload relay handles the thermal curve. The MA trip unit responds to fault currents fast, which is the standard approach for motor branch circuits where the starter already covers overload. Breaking capacity is 200 kA Icu at 415 V AC 50/60 Hz per IEC 60947-2, which means it can safely interrupt a fault up to 200 kA without damage — enough for high-fault installations close to large transformers. At 690 V AC the Icu is still 45 kA, covering most industrial motor feeders. The breaker is utilisation category A (not current-limiting for selectivity), so coordination studies should account for that.
Connection pitch is 35 mm. IP40 enclosure protection keeps out solid objects >1 mm; IK07 impact rating handles incidental tool contact during commissioning.
