It is designed specifically for motor protection — the MA trip responds only to short-circuit (magnetic) faults, not overloads, so the motor's own overload relay handles thermal protection. The 2.5 A rating at 65 °C means the trip unit is calibrated for that current at elevated ambient temperature — important when the breaker is inside a warm enclosure. The magnetic-only characteristic (no thermal bimetal) makes this unsuitable for cable or general distribution protection; it belongs on a motor branch circuit where a separate overload relay provides the thermal element.
Front connection both top and bottom; connection pitch is 35 mm.
Overvoltage category III, utilisation category A. IP40 finger protection, IK07 impact resistance. The manufacturer provides the usual compliance documentation (declaration of conformity, test certificates) on request for FAT/SAT packages.
