Motor protection circuit breaker with magnetic-only trip
It is designed specifically for motor protection, providing short-circuit protection (magnetic) without thermal overload — the overload function is handled by a separate motor starter or overload relay in the circuit.
The MA trip curve is magnetic-only — it responds to short-circuit currents only, so the motor's thermal protection must come from a separate overload relay (e.g., TeSys LR or similar). The 100 kA Icu at 690 V AC is the maximum short-circuit current the breaker can interrupt at that voltage; at lower voltages (500 V, 525 V) the same 100 kA rating holds per the datasheet. The 3-pole configuration (3P) protects all three phases, with the trip unit covering the three protected poles (3D).
Front connections (upside and downside) simplify panel wiring. The IP40 enclosure (IK07 impact resistance) suits indoor panel installation where dust ingress is limited.
