The TM-D trip unit combines a thermal bimetal for overload protection (inverse-time curve) and a magnetic coil for short-circuit instantaneous trip. This is a Category A breaker — no intentional short-time delay, so it trips fast on fault.
Deployment context
Mounts on a backplate in any orientation — horizontal, vertical, or flat on the back. The 108 mm width occupies 12 module pitches on a 9 mm grid. Front connections top and bottom accept Everlink lugs: 2.5 to 95 mm² rigid or stranded aluminium/copper, or 2.5 to 70 mm² flexible copper. That is a generous wire range for a 16 A breaker — useful when pulling larger conductors for voltage drop on long runs. IP40 front face and IK07 impact rating make it suitable for indoor panel installation where tools or panels may bump the cover.
