The C25F4TM160 is a Schneider Electric ComPacT NSX250F moulded-case circuit breaker — a 4-pole, 160 A thermal-magnetic MCCB built to EN/IEC 60947-2 for distribution duty. The TM-D trip unit gives you L (thermal overload) and I (magnetic short-circuit) protection in one block, no add-on modules needed for basic feeder or main-switch applications.
The utilisation category is A, meaning it's not intended for cascading (no deliberate short-time delay for selectivity with downstream devices). If you need selective coordination with a downstream breaker, you'd step to a category B MCCB.
Panel integration — mounting and connections
Front-facing connections top and bottom make wiring straightforward in a dead-front enclosure. The toggle handle gives clear visual indication of tripped vs ON/OFF state, and the IP40 enclosure keeps dust out in clean indoor panels.
Trip unit and protection settings
Overload (thermal) curve tracks I²t; the magnetic short-circuit pickup is non-adjustable on this trip unit — typically around 10× In for TM-D. Neutral protection is set at 1× Ir (full rated current), with the neutral pole on the left.
Durability and environmental limits
Mechanical endurance is 20,000 cycles; electrical durability at full rated current (440 V In) is 10,000 cycles — halve the load and it doubles to 20,000 cycles. Operating altitude is 0–2000 m without derating; above that up to 5000 m requires derating per the manufacturer's curve. Relative humidity range is 0–95 %, and the enclosure carries IK07 impact protection per IEC 62262.
