Motor-protection MCCB with magnetic-only trip

It is designed specifically for motor protection, where only short-circuit (magnetic) protection is needed and thermal overload protection is handled separately by a motor starter or relay. The breaking capacity steps down at higher voltages: 80 kA at 500 V, 65 kA at 525 V, and 45 kA at 690 V AC. The MA trip unit provides adjustable magnetic-only protection (I setting), meaning it ignores overloads and only responds to short-circuit currents. Pair it with a separate thermal overload relay upstream or in the motor starter for full motor protection.

At 690 V AC the rating drops to 45 kA. For selectivity, use a category B breaker with adjustable short-time delay upstream.

Mounts on a backplate in horizontal or vertical orientation. Front connection on both line and load sides simplifies busbar or cable landing. IP40 enclosure protection keeps out tools and fingers; IK07 impact rating handles incidental knocks during panel assembly.
