The C25W4TM160 is a ComPacT NSX frame circuit breaker with a 160 A TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit, 4-pole, rated 100 kA Icu at 690 V AC per IEC 60947-2. That 100 kA at 690 V is the high-end breaking capacity code HB2 — it's the same interrupting rating at 500 V and 525 V AC, so this breaker holds its full SCCR across the common industrial voltages without derating. The TM-D trip gives you fixed thermal overload (L) and fixed magnetic short-circuit (I) protection; no interchangeable trip modules, no ground-fault add-on on this variant (earth-leakage protection: without). If you need adjustable long-time or ground-fault, you'd step up to the Micrologic electronic trip. Four-pole (4P) with neutral on the left, fully rated. Neutral protection is set at 1 x Ir (4D) — meaning the neutral pole is protected at 100% of the phase trip rating, not derated. That matters for distribution panels feeding single-phase loads where the neutral carries phase current. Connection pitch is 35 mm, front-connected both top and bottom. The 140 mm width and 161 mm height fit the standard ComPacT NSX cutout; depth is 86 mm. IP40 enclosure protection, IK07 impact resistance.
Mechanical durability is 20,000 cycles; electrical durability varies with load: 20,000 cycles at 440 V at half rated current, 10,000 at full rated current, and 5,000 cycles at 690 V at full current. That's typical for a molded-case breaker in distribution duty — not a switching device for frequent motor starts. Operating altitude: full rating up to 2000 m, derated above that to 5000 m. Overvoltage category III, so it's suitable for fixed-installation distribution panels downstream of the service entrance. Ambient temperature rating of 40 °C for the full 160 A; higher temperatures require derating per the standard thermal curve.
